This one took a while, but now I think it's finally out on a proper CD-R!
So, where to begin?
Leekid was one of the first djs in Strasbourg playing jungle. Then he was one of the first djs there to play breakcore. And drill'n'bass. And
dubstep.
When I moved to Strasbourg in the late 90s, I wouldn't miss single
Bomb Da Bass's
Jump Up Session, or a
Nomadz Session, in the small bar l'Elastique.
Then we met, got along pretty well, he invited me to play at the Nomadz Sessions online on radio404, we drank truckloads of beer, became great friends and are still up to this day (he was my
flatmate before I moved to Montréal).
So when he asked me to do the artwork for his latest mix on
Bruits De Fond, I couldn't say no (especially as he asked me several times before to do
artworks for his other mixes and I was always too lazy to do those).
You can download it
here.
And
here's a review, for those of you who speak Spanish!
Game :
Find out what record this mix is a tribute to, and you'll win my eternal respect!
